We are a Ministry of Reconciliation.
I John 4:11-12 "......Love one another."
God is doing a new work through Mission Mississippi. No longer can we as Christians excuse ourselves from putting racial and denominational reconciliation on our agendas. We need to listen to our Heavenly Father's call to us to get actively involved in the movement for reconciliation and unity in the Body of Christ.
Mission Mississippi sponsors and coordinates opportunities for people of different denominations and races to meet, get to know each other and serve the Lord together through gatherings such as:

Tuesday and Thursday Prayer Breakfasts
Youth Rallies and Retreats
Mayor's Leadership Prayer Breakfast
Monthly Pastors' Dialogues and Retreats
Church Partnership Picnic
Two and Two Restaurant Days

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
and all are different colors....but
they all exist very nicely in the same box.
To be the leading resource and catalyst for Christian reconciliation and
racial healing for Mississippi and the world.
The Reason
Approximately 650 churches in the Metro Jackson area proclaim that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation, believing in Him as the Son of God, Savior and Lord. Historically, black and white churches have separated themselves with little or no dialogue among pastors or congregations. Similarly, congregations within the same denomination who are of the same race have had little interaction. To people throughout the U.S., Mississippi is known for its racial strife. However, God is doing a new work in this state through Mission Mississippi. No longer can we as Christians excuse ourselves from not putting racial and denominational reconciliation on our agendas. We need to listen to our Heavenly Father's call to us to get actively involved in the movement for reconciliation and unity in the Body of Christ.

The Call
In I John 4:11-12, John commands us to love one another: "Dear Friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us."
How You Can Help
Through Prayer, Committee Involvement, Volunteering Time and Talents, Church Involvement, Spreading the Word and Living the Message, and Through Financial Commitment.
The Mission Mississippi budget includes facility and park rentals, youth and pastor activities, printing, publicity, travel expenses and much more to deliver the message of racial and denominational reconciliation statewide. While our need is great, we believe that this movement is the work of the Lord and He will provide. We would appreciate your monthly or one-time financial donation to this worthy cause. Spread the Word and Live the Message
Another way that you can help is to tell others in Mississippi and outside our state about Mission Mississippi's efforts towards reconciliation and unity in Christ. Strive, also, to love one another in greater ways in your home, workplace and neighborhood. See the Lord's guidance in prayer as you become a part of this movement.
Our Statement of Faith
God, the Creator, exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Born of the virgin Mary, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, suffered, died, rose again and was exalted at the right hand of the Father and will come again.
Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me". (John 14:6) The way of true reconciliation to God is found through personal faith in and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. True reconciliation with each other is found in obedience to His teachings.
The Holy Spirit applies the benefits of Christ's saving work in the hearts of His people.
Christians are expected to unite with a local church, submit to its authority and live a holy life of love and harmony conducive to the spreading of the Gospel.
God will judge the world and receive His own at the end of history.
